„uSputnik” w wykonaniu studentów III roku Katedry Teatru Alternatywnego i Lalkowego DAMU w Pradze to majstersztyk obrazujący podróż rosyjskiej satelity po galaktyce.
Aktorzy prezentują teatr miniatur, skierowany do jednego widza, który śledzi widowisko przez niewielki otwór w mobilnej scenie. Po drugiej stronie artyści zmieniają pudełka z kolejnymi odsłonami, które zachwycają precyzyjnie wykonanym pejzażem i efektami świetlnymi. Doskonałe poczucie estetyki potęguje klimatyczna muzyka, która wprowadza widza w iście kosmiczny trans.
Droga Sputnika rozpoczyna się od startu rakiety i kończy na samotnej wędrówce po ziemskiej orbicie, ukazując z kosmicznej perspektywy wyścig między USA a ZSRR podczas Zimnej Wojny. Niespiesznie mknąc przez Drogę Mleczną, satelita mija pierwszego astronautę, który kiedykolwiek wkroczył w przestrzeń kosmiczną, słynnego psa Łajkę, amerykański statek Apollo i Neila Armstronga, stawiającego pierwsze kroki na Księżycu.
Panujący w przestworzach bezwzględny spokój tworzy dysonans z ekspansywnym ziemskim konfliktem. Jednak odwieczna kosmiczna harmonia pozostaje naruszona. Do historycznego starcia autorzy dopowiadają swój ciąg dalszy, w którym opanowany żądzą władzy człowiek dąży do samozagłady. Tymczasem satelita, która poprzez ogromny zasięg obserwacji miała przyczynić się do rozwoju cywilizacji, staje się świadkiem jej upadku.

„uSputnik” prepared by 3rd year students of Academy of Performing Arts (Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre in Prague) is a masterpiece presenting a journey of the Russian satellite throughout galaxy.
The actors present the theatre of miniatures directed at one spectator at a time, who follows the show through a tiny hole in a mobile scene. On the other side of the screen, the artists change the boxes with pictures that amaze with precisely prepared landscapes and light effects. Perfect sense of aesthetics is intensified by music, which leads a viewer into a kind of a trance.
Sputnik’s road starts form launching of the rocket and ends in a lonely journey through Earth’s orbit, depicting at that time the space race between the USA and Soviet Union during the Cold War. Slowly rushing through the Milky Way, the satellite passes the first astronaut, who entered the space, famous dog- Lajka, American spaceship – Apollo and Neil Armstrong himself, the first human to step on the Moon.
Unconditional calmness that prevails in space creates a dissonance with expansive Earthly conflict. However, eternal cosmic harmony and peacefulness is being violated. The authors add their own continuation to this historical encounter, in which a man filled with lust for power aims at self-destruction. And the satellite, which through a huge scope of observation was supposed to contribute to the development of the civilization becomes a witness of its decline.
