NOZOMI NAGAI
W 2004 założyła własną studencką grupę lalkarzy w Arts&Crafts College w Kanazawie, mając nadzieję, że stanie się profesjonalną konstruktorką lalek. Po ukończeniu szkoły trenowała w trupie współczesnych lalkarzy „Hitomi-za” i w grupie „Edo string marionette Youki-za”, która zajmuje się teatrem tradycyjnym – pracowała tam jako asystentka scenografa Yukio Horio. Od kwietnia 2013 roku jest członkiem grupy „genre:Gray” prowadzonej przez Miyako Kurotani. Trenuje animację i konstrukcję lalek, ruch fizyczny i podstawy aktorstwa. W 2014 roku była asystentką Kozunoriego Watanabe przy przygotowaniu lalek w Amsterdamie. W 2015 roku prezentowała spektakl Syn księżyca na Festiwalu Teatrów Lalek „Inochi”. W 2016 przygotowuje się do występu z grupą „genre:Gray” w spektaklu zatytułowanym Suisendukinoyokka.

In 2004, she founded her own student puppetry group in Kanazawa municipal Arts&Crafts college, and hopes to be a professional puppetry maker. After graduation, became a trainee of the contemporary puppetry troupe „Hitomi-za” and the traditional puppetry troupe „Edo string marionette Youki-za”, and worked as an assistant of the scenographer Yukio HORIO. From April 2013, participates in Miyako Kurotani “genre:Gray’s” WS. She received trainings of puppet manipulation, physical movement, puppet making, and basic acting. In 2014, she was an assistant of Kazunori WATANABE`s puppet making WS at Amsterdam. In 2015, she performed The son of the moon, and joined the „Inochi” 2015 puppetry festival with this performance. In 2016, she will perform in the „genre:Gray’s” performance Suisendukinoyokka.
SYN KSIĘŻYCA / THE SON OF THE MOON

Pewnego dnia zapłakana kobieta napotyka chłopca leżącego na ziemi. Chłopiec nazywa się Charley Loon. Mieszkał na księżycu, ale przejął się losem płaczącej kobiety i zszedł na ziemię. Z powodu grawitacji, stracił wszystkie wspomnienia, a także siłę, by się poruszyć. Spotkanie księżycowego chłopca (lalka) i kobiety (animatorka) przeciąga się do nocy. Pomagają sobie nawzajem, rozmawiają, śmieją się i tańczą. W końcu, chłopiec odzyskuje siłę i wraca na księżyc. Przedstawienie pokazuje, że lalka to lalka mimo wszystko… Nie posiada życia sama w sobie, ale zyskuje życie w kontakcie z animatorem. Przedstawienie próbuje ukazać zależność i relację pomiędzy dwoma przeciwstawnymi bytami – „lalką” i „lalkarzem”, poprzez ich spotkanie i rozstanie.
One day a crying woman comes across a boy, who is lying on the ground. The boy’s name is Charley Loon. He lived on the moon, but he cared about the crying woman, and fell down on the Earth. Because of the gravity of the Earth, he lost his memories and strength to move. Meeting of the moon boy (puppet) and the woman (puppeteer) moves the night brilliantly. They help each other to walk, they talk, laugh, and dance. Finally, he gets back his flying strength and goes back to the Moon. This performance shows that “a puppet is a puppet” after all…. It doesn’t have life in itself, but it receives energy and life when it meets a puppeteer. This performance shows relationship between two different existences, “a puppet” and “a puppeteer”, through their “encounter” and “parting”.
