MORSKI ZAJĄC
Spektakl „Cudowna podróż Edwarda Tulana” w wykonaniu studentki Akademii Sztuk Scenicznych w Bratysławie to urocza, bajkowa opowieść. W jej centrum staje dziecięca retro-zabawka, porcelanowy królik,wyglądający jakby uciekł z muzeum zabawek. Choć pozostaje nieożywiony, urzeka i kradnie serca widzów, momentami nasuwając skojarzenia z Krainą Czarów. Historia jest lekka i przyjemna, a aktorka wciela się w rolę małej dziewczynki ze swobodą i humorem. Wprawnie animuje przedmiotami i nadaje im niespodziewane, nowe znaczenia (np. worek na śmieci staje się psem). Modyfikuje również oświetlenie, przesuwając i odwracając lampkę, tym samym zwraca uwagę na istotne w danej chwili elementy. Scenografia i rekwizyty korespondują z postacią królika Edwarda, a całość jest spójna pod względem estetycznym i pozwala wniknąć w świat dzieciństwa i zabawy, mimo niezrozumiałego dla niektórych języka.
Etiuda „Jestem trzema kropkami” utrzymana została w wiejskim, sielankowym klimacie. Widzimy tu takie obiekty jak siano i jabłka, które zdają się mieć określoną, choć nie do końca jasną symbolikę. To krótka opowieść o kobiecości i zmaganiach ze społeczeństwem, która przez specyficzną ekspresję i nieco komiczną prezentację sceniczną aktorki może zostać odebrana jako odrobinę satyryczna i ukazująca stereotypy.
Oba słowackie spektakle, mimo zupełnie różnych treści, łączy podobna dynamika i zbliżony rodzaj humoru.

Sea Rabbit
The performance The miraculous journey of Eduard Tulane presented by students of Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava a charming, fairy tale-like story. In its centre, there is retro-toy, porcelain rabbit, looking as if it ran away from toy museum. Although it will not be animated, he charms and steals spectators’ hearts. Sometimes – stylistically – it reminds the story of Alice from Wonderland. The story is light and bright, and the actress playing the role of little girl does it with humour and ease. She animates objects and gives them new unexpected meanings ( eg. rubbish bag becomes a dog). She modifies lights and in this way takes the viewers’ attention to what is important. Scenography and props correspond with the character of Edward the Rabbit, and the whole performance is coherent as far as aesthetics is concerned. It allows us to enter the world of childhood and games despite of the language barrier.
Etude “I am three dots” is kept in rural, bucolic climate. We see here hay and apples, which seem to convey specific symbolic message, though some could have problems with its understanding. It is a short story about femininity and struggling with society. Specific expression and funny presentation of the actress can be perceived as satiric and depicting stereotypes.
Both Slovakian performances, though different in content, are similar as far as dynamics and sense of humour is concerned.
