KRÓTKI POKAZ FORMY
Etiudy w wykonaniu studentów pierwszego roku Łotewskiej Akademii Kultury czarują różnorodnością środków wyrazu, bogactwem i plastycznością formy. Od gry lalką i pacynką, przez malowanie ruchomego obrazu elastyczną gąbką i niebanalne wykorzystanie sznura, po zjawiskowo zsynchronizowaną animację dłoni – każdy element zostaje powołany do życia z ogromną precyzją, kreując rzeczywistość w sposób uproszczony, a przy tym wyjątkowo czysty i powabny.
Przez większą część pokazu mamy do czynienia z czarnym teatrem. Najważniejsze medium stanowi forma, animatorzy pozostają w cieniu – jakby pozwalali lalkom i przedmiotom samodzielnie zaistnieć w przestrzeni scenicznej. Studenci zdają się współpracować ze sobą na zasadzie symbiozy, w zharmonizowany sposób tworząc poszczególne elementy widowiska. Mimo błahej treści, spektakl absorbuje widza i intensywnie angażuje jego percepcję. Doskonale dobrana muzyka potęguje wrażenia emocjonalne, koresponduje z wizualną stroną spektaklu i wpływa na odczytywanie zmian atmosfery poszczególnych etiud.
W przerwach pomiędzy kolejnymi etiudami twórcy wprowadzają elementy slapstickowo-komiczne, takie jak mówiące portrety, fruwające pacynki czy tworzący żywe, groteskowe rzeźby odziani w białe płachty aktorzy. Całość jest przyjemna w odbiorze, wykonana z dużą precyzją, przepełniona lekkością i urokiem. To piękne podsumowanie umiejętności zdobytych na pierwszym roku, a także zwiastun dużego potencjału prezentujących się na scenie młodych ludzi.

SHORT PRESENTATION OF FORMS
The etudes performed by first-year students of the Latvian Academy of Culture enchant the viewer by variety of means of expression, richness and plasticity of form. Beginning with manipulating the puppet and a hand puppet, through painting moving images using elastic sponge and original use of the rope, to the phenomenally synchronized hand animation – each element is brought to life with great precision, creating the reality in a simplified manner and at the same time, throughout most of the show, we are dealing with black theater. The most important medium is form, the animators remain in the shadows – as if allowing puppets and objects to exist independently on the stage. Students seem to cooperate with one another on the basis of symbiosis, in a harmonized way creating individual elements of the performance. Despite the trivial content, the show absorbs the viewers and intensely engages their perception. Perfectly selected music intensifies emotional experience, corresponds to the visual side of the performance and affects the interpretation of changes in the atmosphere of individual etudes. In the intervals between successive etudes authors introduce slapstick – comical elements , such as talking portraits, flying puppets or actors creating vivid, grotesque sculptures dressed in white cloths. The whole thing is fun to watch, it was done with great precision, full of lightness and charm. This is a beautiful summary of the skills acquired in the first year, as well as a harbinger of students’ great potential.
